Alborosie, a widely known reggae performer of Italian descent, has released a new song called “Unprecedented Time”. From the title itself, you can deduce the theme of this track, a theme that is present all around us in whatever we do. Which is tiring but somewhat less tiring when it comes in the music format performed by Alborosie and his well known style. This light and catchy song really passes by quickly so I had to replay it few times in order to get the whole picture. And then I have noticed that there is a lot of content in the video itself.

“It’s a bilogical conflict, speculations of conspiracy… you’ll see the shape of my hands from my windowpane. Then one day I’ll touch your face, like I used to do” sings “Puppa Albo” as the images pass by of all the dark sides that accompany humanity – from war operations, forest fires, fish extermination, immigration…

The track was released under the record label VP Records, produced in collaboration with Tony Fisher, and this is the first in a series of planned songs by Alborosie for this year. The video features Aston Barrett Junior, Tyrone Downey as a current member of the legendary The Wailers and backing vocalist Sandy Smith.

"I feel the pressure that people are under around the world and I want my music to help them,"

Recent Alborosie projects were “Dub For The Radicals – Alborosie Meets The Roots Radics,” which was engineered, produced and mixed by Alborosie using vintage analog gear, dub sirens, reel to reel tape, and live instrumentation from Alborosie and reggae icons the ‘Roots Radics’.
